Analysis of regional alignments and emerging threats.
A research-based initiative highlighting the positive & essential role of U.S. engagement across Asia, and advocating for stronger, transparent and mutually beneficial policy collaboration.
My Goal is Simple: The USAFPPC exists to shine a necessary light on this vital work. We are dedicated to providing clear, unbiased analysis that highlights where the partnership is succeeding and advocating for strategic enhancements where opportunities arise. We believe that by focusing on mutual respect and shared objectives, we can ensure the next chapter of this collaboration is even more prosperous than the last.
This website is our starting point—a platform to document, analyze, and champion the ongoing positive impact of U.S. engagement. Though I am building this effort one step at a time, I invite you to join this important dialogue.
I look forward to building this Council with you.
Sincerely,
Faraz Ullah Founder,
USA-ASIA Foreign Policy Partnership Council (USAFPPC)
Welcome to the USA-ASIA Foreign Policy Partnership Council (USAFPPC).
As the founder of this initiative, I have long been convinced of a fundamental truth: the relationship between the United States and the nations of Asia is not merely transactional—it is transformative.
For decades, U.S. foreign policy, development aid, and security cooperation have played an essential, positive role in fostering stability, economic growth, and democratic resilience across the Asian continent. Yet, in the complexity of global affairs, these enduring, successful efforts often go uncelebrated.
The USA-ASIA Foreign Policy Partnership Council (USAFPPC) was founded on the principle that a strong, constructive, and forward-looking partnership between the United States and the nations of Asia is essential for global stability and prosperity. We aim to serve as a vital resource for policymakers, academics, and the public, chronicling the positive impact of U.S. engagement and advocating for continued cooperation.
We envision a future where foreign policy initiatives are transparent, mutually beneficial, and rooted in shared values, leading to enhanced security, sustainable economic development, and robust people-to-people ties across the Asian continent.
We provide independent analysis on current U.S.–Asia policy, highlighting successful partnerships and suggesting areas for enhanced cooperation.
We curate and disseminate key reports, speeches, and news demonstrating the positive role of the U.S. in supporting Asian countries.
We facilitate virtual and written platforms for informed discussion on critical foreign policy issues.

The United States has historically been a significant partner in Pakistan’s development and stability, investing billions of dollars in both civilian assistance and strategic cooperation over the decades. These contributions have helped address major challenges in health, energy, education, and humanitarian response.
Building shared climate solutions and energy transition strategies across borders.
Strengthening educational, cultural, and humanitarian relationships across the Pacific.
The U.S.-Pakistan partnership is experiencing a notable upswing, marked by high-level diplomatic visits and tangible agreements. This renewed engagement signals a strategic shift in Washington, which now views Pakistan as a pivotal partner for regional stability, economic security, and broader geopolitical strategy.

While the current relations are excellent, experts characterize the connection as transactional. This means the engagement is primarily driven by mutual strategic utility rather than shared values:
To secure a reliable partner for counterterrorism, develop new supply chains, and gain a strategic foothold in a region increasingly influenced by China.
To secure economic investment, gain diplomatic leverage, and move past its dependence on a purely security-focused relationship.
The USAFPPC relies on the support of individuals and organizations who believe in the power of constructive foreign policy. Your support allows us to maintain our independent voice and research.
